In honor of Mother’s Day, I share this little beauty: no big bows and neat IKEA furniture here. To everyone else, I was/still am a crummy housekeeper. While true, what I see: my kids getting along playing a new game courtesy of paying the electric bill a little late. Our daughter, chilling after her turn, on her brother’s back because who cares. At 4 life is good. The cabinet that my dad made barfing GameCube parts. Dirty socks because kids will never care about socks. A cheap bed from Sam’s Club and a 100 year old family dresser. Molding I’d yet to replace. Glitter glue killing the carpet that I probably snapped at them about at the time and completely forgot about after. But…I miss all of it. Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers out there.
